This project was started at Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital during the year 2002-03 with the objective to study the efficacy of homoeopathic drugs in various old age problems.
Staff engaged in the project
117 cases were registered during 1st April 2004 to 31st December 2004 out of the total registered cases 41 were dropped out and 76 (49 Males and 27 Females) were followed up. There were 63 cases (33 Male & 30 Female) of Multi system disorders, 22 cases (15 Male & 7 Female) of Locomotor systems disorders and 8 (5 Male and 3 Female) of Skin disorders. There was marked improvement in 26 cases, moderate in 18 cases and mild in 27 cases. The basis of prescription is being done on constitutional medicines along –with miasmatic component in minimum dose with minimum repetition. The response evaluation is being on the basis of the change in the grade of their symptoms.
